Lent
So I finished me very first Lent on Sunday! I did really well for about two weeks, and then I bit off all my nails during my history test! Since then I've done well, and my nails are the longest they've ever been! I'm working hard to make sure they stay way!

Today's Funny Story
I just thought I'd share something entertaining from my day! My friends and I eat lunch at this grassy area at the top of some stairs, so we can see everything that goes on down below. We saw Rockstar George (so named because he looks like one) and his girl eating lunch, and I pointed this out because I usually do random things like that. Later I noticed that they were making out (which I pointed out because we all like to comment on how disgusting that is) when suddenly they were really making out and started rolling around on the grass! It was the most random, awkward and gross thing that we all started hysterically laughing! Thankfully we were far enough away that they couldn't hear us! Sadly, they left before too long and out entertainment was gone. I think to understand the true hilarity of it you had to have been there; it's just awkward in writing. :)

Burp Cloths
A while back I noticed that Erin/Duchess's sister had made some super cute burp cloths! (She's actually sewed a lot of cute other stuff too) Since my sister is expecting I decided she needed some fancy burp cloths too!
My picture isn't very good, but my first attemt turned out pretty good! I didn't want to order matching fabric sets online, so I had to try and match quilting squares. For this one I just stuck with simple black and white polka dots! I'm really happy with how it turned out and I'm excited to make more!

So...
When did asking someone on a date become equated with marriage/going steady? Seriously, to steal my friend's saying-Chivalry is dead!

Lessons
So this week was pretty monumental! I had my last piano lesson, and it's the first time that I won't be planning on starting again. I haven't been all that busier, but I haven't been making the time to practice, so it's almost been a waste of time. I'm really happy though, considering I've been taking lessons for almost 10 years. The funny thing is that this week I've playing (practicing almost) the piano more than I have in the past couple of months with lessons. I guess all that talk that I might lose it has sunk it! But whatever the case, I'm glad to have a break.

Egg Kissing
Most of you that read my blog also read the Board, but I felt the need to post this question here anyway. Can I just say that this is pretty much the funniest thing I've read lately? (edited for length.)
Dear 100 Hour Board,
So I was eating eggs today, cooked ones. And I just randomly thought that peeled eggs felt a little like skin. And I just thought if it would be a little like kissing.. See I haven't had my first kiss yet, I'm saving it and all. So just for fun I tried kissing the egg xD with salt of course.
Now my dilemma is this: Since I haven't had my first kiss yet I'm no good judge of whether this is remotely like a kiss at all. So if anyone with experience would try this out and then answer this I'd be very happy ^^ And you'd have done a good deed by answering my question :)
Now if this groses you out, you can just answer this: Have any of you tried anything like this before you had your first kiss?? xD
- Yoshi
Dear Yoshi-
That. Is. Weird. And trust me, that's not just my opinion... Claudio showed your question to me (I hadn't seen it yet) with quite a few startling adjectives involved.So... basically, I'm not going to try it out. I mean, we're coming up on three years since I've kissed a girl (insert frownie face here), and even I'm not that desperate yet. Plus, if I tried it, I'm not sure I'd remember all that well by this point what it feels like.Biggest problem I see, however: an egg is not a living person's lips. It's kind of different when the other half of the kiss is alive, moving, and breathing. Warm, I guess a cooked egg can cover.I can't be sure what gender you are from the phrasing of your question, but... for heaven's sake, if you care to find out what it's like, please go find someone of the opposite sex and do it right.

Dear Yoshi,
As has already been stated...I found this pretty messed up.Like, say, a lot.No, I can honestly say I never did anything like that. My kisses are sort of limited to...well, female human things.
-Claudio
dear yoshi,
you loose-lipped woman! i am absolutely scandalized and dismayed. you claim to be "saving" your kisses, but yet you make out with eggs left and right and left, and you think nothing of it. does a kiss mean nothing to you? will these eggs love you back? do they care about your feelings? can this lead to any eternal kind of relationship? or are you just letting yourself be lead on, ignoring the warning signs, because you feel lonely and anything will fill the gap?
well let me warn you, sister. i know how these eggs are. sure, they're nice for a few days, and if you go really slow with them, maybe they'll stick around a few weeks or even a month. but after that, they start to stink. and if you're honest with yourself, you'll realize that they grew cold after just a few minutes. sure, you can rekindle the feeling, but it's not going to last long. better to just move on.
so yes, i've tried the egg substitute. and take it from me, it'll let you down. every time. almost as bad as men, that way.
